The Chrysler LeBaron, also known as the Imperial LeBaron, is a historic line of automobiles manufactured by Chrysler. Initially introduced in 1931 with a body made by LeBaron, it was a luxurious model competing with other high-end cars of the time, such as Lincoln and Packard. Chrysler acquired LeBaron and its parent company, Briggs Manufacturing Company, leading to the launch of the Imperial brand in 1955. The Imperial LeBaron name was used until 1975 when Chrysler reintroduced the Chrysler LeBaron, which became the company's lowest-priced model.
