The Honda HR-V is a popular subcompact crossover SUV that has been produced by Honda across three different generations. The first generation of the HR-V was initially launched in 1999 and was available in both three-door and five-door configurations, known as GH2 and GH4 respectively. It was based on the Honda Logo platform and was sold in Europe, Japan, and select Asia-Pacific markets until 2006. Following a seven-year break, Honda revived the HR-V nameplate for its second generation. This newer version of the HR-V was built on the platform of the third-generation Honda Fit, offering a more modern and updated design compared to its predecessor. The second generation HR-V aimed to further establish itself in the competitive subcompact crossover SUV segment
