The DeSoto Firedome was a prominent full-size automobile line manufactured by the DeSoto division of Chrysler Corporation from 1952 to 1959. Initially positioned as a premium vehicle line when it debuted in 1952, the Firedome maintained its status until it transitioned to the least expensive model in 1955. By 1957, the Firedome was reclassified as a mid-range offering before eventually being discontinued after the 1959 model year.
