The Lincoln Premiere, a luxury car model, was introduced by Lincoln for the 1956 to 1960 model years as a premium offering in their lineup. Positioned below the Continental Mark II coupe in 1956–1957 and above the Capri from 1956 to 1959, the Premiere came in 2 and 4-door versions, providing seating for up to six individuals. During its production, the Premiere was Lincoln's top-level 4-door sedan, offering competition to similar models from Cadillac, Imperial, and Packard in the mid-1950s. However, it was not available as an extended length limousine during this period. In 1958, the Premiere saw a change as it started sharing its chassis
