The brand first captured global attention in 2013 with the unveiling of the Devel Sixteen at the Dubai Motor Show. This prototype promised unprecedented performance, powered by a V16 engine touted to deliver a staggering 5,000 horsepower, positioning it more as a hypercar from the future than a road-ready contender of its time. The founders, the Al Attar brothers, aimed not just to enter the hypercar market but to redefine its limits. Their dream was to produce a vehicle that could exceed 300 mph, blending luxury automotive engineering with the raw power of drag racing beasts. Fast forward to the present, Devel Motors continues to work towards realizing the Sixteen, albeit amidst skepticism and production challenges. While the car has yet to be fully commercialized or achieve its lofty speed goals, the brand remains a significant player in the realm of high-performance vehicles, demonstrating the peaks of engineering ambition and the persistent allure of pushing beyond conventional boundaries.
