The initial concept for the Caliber was unveiled at the 2005 Geneva Motor Show, with a pre-production version showcased at the 2006 North American International Auto Show before hitting the market in March 2006. Manufactured at the Belvidere Assembly plant in Illinois, the Caliber's production spanned six years, with a total of just over 400,000 units manufactured.
This model marked Dodge's entry into the European and Asian markets, including countries like Japan, South Korea, and Singapore, helping establish new distribution channels in these regions.
