The Dodge Durango is a mid-size SUV introduced by Dodge in 1998. The first two generations shared similarities such as being based on the Dodge Dakota and Dodge Ram vehicles, featuring body-on-frame construction, and being manufactured at the Newark Assembly Plant in Delaware until 2009. The third generation of the Durango, starting in 2011, shifted to a new platform shared with the Jeep Grand Cherokee, transitioning to unibody construction.
