The Dodge Stratus, launched in December 1994, was a mid-size car under Dodge, based on the Chrysler JA platform. Alongside the Plymouth Breeze and Chrysler Cirrus, it earned a spot on Car and Driver magazine's Ten Best list in 1996 and 1997. Initially, the Stratus received positive reviews for its features and design, but over time, its ratings declined. In 2001, an updated version of the Stratus was released, coinciding with the renaming of the Cirrus to Chrysler Sebring. The updated model included a coupé variant to broaden the range and appeal to different types of buyers.
