The DS 4, previously known as the Citroën DS4 before 2015, is a compact car that belongs to Citroën's luxury DS sub-brand, now an independent brand. In its second generation since 2021, the DS 4 is built on the all-new EMP2 platform, which it shares with the Opel Astra L and Peugeot 308 III. Positioned above the DS 3 and below the DS 7 Crossback in Citroën's lineup, the DS 4 offers a blend of luxury and compactness. In its first generation (NX; 2010), the DS 4 was launched in March 2011, with limited availability in some countries by the end of 2010. This iteration was based on the Citroën C4 II platform, featuring raised suspension to mimic a compact SUV and repositioned door handles to create a coupe-like silhouette.
