The Ferrari 308 GTB is a mid-engined, rear-wheel-drive sports car produced by Ferrari from 1975 to 1985. It was built around a transversely mounted 3.0-liter V8 engine and marked Ferrari's move away from the V6 Dino series toward a more accessible but still thoroughbred road car. The 308 GTB is widely recognized for its Pininfarina-designed bodywork and for its prominent cultural profile, largely due to its use in the American television series Magnum, P.I. Notable variants include the GTS targa-roofed version introduced in 1977, the fuel-injected GTBi and GTSi models, and the more powerful Quattrovalvole versions released in 1982 with a four-valve-per-cylinder head.
