The Fiat 131, introduced at the 1974 Turin Motor Show, was a family car produced by Fiat from 1974 to 1984 across a single generation. Available in both two-door and four-door saloon versions as well as a 5-door estate, the Fiat 131 was the successor to the Fiat 124. The vehicle was popularly known as the Fiat Mirafiori, named after the district in Turin where it was manufactured. Initially, the Fiat 131 was equipped with either a 1.3 L or a 1.6 L overhead valve engine, providing various options for consumers. The model received updates and revisions in both 1978 and 1981 to enhance its performance and features.
