The Fiat Marea (Type 185) was introduced in September 1996 as a compact family car produced by Italian automaker Fiat. It was offered in two body styles - a saloon and an estate version. These models were essentially variations of Fiat's hatchback offerings, the Bravo and Brava. The Marea was designed to replace Fiat's earlier models, including the Tipo-based Fiat Tempra and the larger Croma.
