Ford Falcon XG

1993 – 1996

The Ford Falcon XG was produced from 1993 to 1996 as part of Ford Australia's long-running Falcon lineup, slotting between the XF and XH generations in the utility and van segment rather than the mainstream passenger car line. The XG designation applied specifically to the commercial variants of the Falcon range, continuing Ford Australia's practice of using separate alpha codes for its ute and panel van body styles. Based on available records, the XG carried over the platform and mechanical foundations established by its predecessors while the contemporary passenger Falcon line was represented by the EA through ED series. It represents a notable chapter in the Falcon story as evidence of the model's enduring commercial appeal in the Australian market alongside its passenger car counterparts.
