The Ford LTD Crown Victoria, produced from 1980 to 1991, was a line of full-size cars that bore the legacy of the Ford Fairlane coupe from the 1950s. Positioned as the flagship model of the Ford LTD lineup in North America, the LTD Crown Victoria shared its platform with the Mercury Grand Marquis and was available in two-door and four-door sedan variants, as well as a five-door station wagon option known as the LTD Country Squire. In 1983, Ford undertook a significant reorganization of its full-size and mid-size vehicle offerings, with the LTD Crown Victoria being the primary full-size sedan in the Ford lineup, while the mid-size Granada was rebranded as an LTD model.
