The Ford Tempo was a compact car produced by Ford from 1984 to 1994 as a successor to the Ford Fairmont. It marked Ford's shift towards front-wheel drive and downsizing of its compact car lineup. The Tempo was available as a two-door coupe and a four-door sedan, with the Mercury Topaz as its counterpart in the Mercury division, while there was no Lincoln version of the car.
