The BA F6 Typhoon introduced Ford's turbocharged 4.0-litre DOHC Barra inline-six to FPV's range, producing 270kW and 533Nm of torque — more torque than the V8 GT from lower in the rev range. Available as the Typhoon sedan and Tornado wagon, the BA F6 established the turbocharged six-cylinder as a legitimate high-performance choice and a genuine alternative to the V8.
