Kandi Technologies Group, Inc., also known as 康迪, is a prominent Chinese battery and electric vehicle manufacturer that operates on the NASDAQ stock exchange under the ticker symbol KNDI. The company was established in 2002 in Jinhua, Zhejiang by its founder, Hu Xiaoming. In a strategic move to expand its electric vehicle production capabilities, Kandi partnered with the Geely subsidiary Shanghai Maple in February 2013 to create a joint venture named Zhejiang Kandi Electric Vehicles Investment. This joint venture operates on a 50:50 ownership structure and was launched with an initial registered capital of 1 billion yuan (approximately US$160 million). Zhejiang Kandi Electric Vehicles Investment is dedicated to conducting
