The Haima Freema is a Compact MPV produced by the Chinese automaker Haima. The company was originally established in the 1990s as Hainan Mazda Motor, a collaboration between the Hainan province and Mazda to manufacture Mazda vehicles for the Chinese market. In the early 2000s, the Chinese FAW Group acquired Mazda's stake in the company, leading to the formation of Haima. Despite this change in ownership, Haima persisted in using older Mazda platforms and technology.
