The Honda Ascot, a compact sedan exclusively available in Japan from 1989 to 1997, was manufactured by Honda. The first generation of the Ascot, based on the Honda Accord CB series, offered two versions: the standard Ascot and the "pillared hardtop" variant named the Ascot Innova which was in production from 1993 to 1996. The Ascot Innova, also referred to as a "pillared hardtop", shared many components with the European-market Honda Accord produced in Swindon, England, and was essentially a rebadged version of the Rover 600. The second generation of the Honda Ascot showcased platform enhancements and was related to a Japan-exclusive sedan known as the Honda Raf
