The Honda Z, also known as the Z600, was a compact two-door hatchback kei car/city car produced by Honda from 1970 to 1974. Initially introduced in 1970, the Honda Z featured a compact design suitable for city driving. While it was popular in its domestic market, exports began to dwindle after 1972 due to the introduction of redesigned models with pillarless bodywork in Japan. The American market saw the Honda Z with a larger 598cc engine available for the 1970 to 1972 model years. However, sales ceased before the introduction of the Civic in 1973.
