The Hyundai Scoupe, also known as the Hyundai S-Coupe, was a 2-door coupé manufactured by the South Korean company Hyundai between 1990 and 1995. This model was built on the foundation of the Hyundai Excel during that era. The name "Scoupe" was a combination of the words "sporty" and "coupe," and was pronounced as "scoop." The development of the Hyundai Scoupe began in 1985. A prototype named the "Sports-looking Car" (SLC) concept was showcased at the 1989 Tokyo Motor Show, giving audiences a glimpse of what was to come from Hyundai. In February 1990, regular production of the Scoupe commenced after
