The Infiniti QX80, previously known as the Infiniti QX56 until 2013, is a full-size luxury SUV offered by Nissan's luxury arm, Infiniti. Originally manufactured in the United States, the first-generation QX56 was constructed based on the platform of the first-generation Armada. In 2010, the second-generation model was introduced, shifting production to Japan and utilizing the sixth-generation Patrol as its base vehicle, which was later rebranded as the second-generation Armada starting in 2016.
The transition to the QX80 branding took place in 2013 for the 2014 model year, aligning with Infiniti's rebranding strategy for its entire product lineup
