JMEV

JMEV, formally known as Jiangling Motors Electric Vehicle, is a Chinese electric vehicle brand established as a joint venture involving Jiangling Motors Corporation, with operations centered in Jiangxi province. The brand focused on affordable urban electric vehicles for the domestic Chinese market, producing compact models aimed at budget-conscious city drivers. The JMEV EV3 is a small electric hatchback representative of this segment, while the GSE and Yi models extend the lineup with slightly varied body styles and positioning. JMEV operated within the broader ecosystem of Chinese state-affiliated automakers navigating the country's aggressive EV expansion during the 2010s and into the 2020s. Its market presence has remained modest compared to larger domestic EV players, and its current independent operational status may reflect ongoing restructuring within the Jiangling group.
