Joss Developments

Joss Developments, an audacious venture in the Australian sports car industry, was established by Matthew Thomas with a vision to craft a performance car that could compete on a global scale. The brand made its first significant mark in the early 2000s with the development of the JT1 prototype. This car was unveiled at the 2004 Melbourne International Motor Show, sparking considerable interest due to its lightweight design and formidable V8 engine, characteristics aimed squarely at the supercar market. Despite its initial splash, Joss Developments faced numerous challenges in transitioning from a prototype to full-scale production. Funding and logistical hurdles have stymied the brand’s progression to a stable commercial footing. As of today, the company continues to work towards securing the necessary capital and infrastructure to bring their high-performance vision to the automotive market. Joss’s journey encapsulates the highs and lows of innovative car manufacturing, standing as a testament to persistence and the relentless pursuit of automotive excellence in a market dominated by established giants.
