The Kia Mohave, also known as the Kia Borrego in North America and China, is a rugged and stylish sport utility vehicle (SUV) produced by the South Korean automaker Kia. Launched in 2008 in South Korea and the United States, the vehicle was designed by renowned automotive designer Peter Schreyer, former chief designer for Audi. The Kia Borrego draws its name from the Anza-Borrego Desert State Park in California, with "Borrego" translating to "bighorned sheep," which are native to the park. Originally showcased as the Kia Mesa concept car at the 2005 North American International Auto Show, the production model made its debut at the 2008 North American International Auto Show.
