Kia Ceed CD

2018 – 2024 · South Korea

The Kia Ceed, initially known as the Kia Cee'd until 2018, is a compact car designed and produced by Kia specifically for the European market since 2006. It was the first Kia model crafted entirely in Europe to cater to the preferences of European customers. The naming of the vehicle was a nod to the European Economic Community (EEC), with the initials CEE combined with 'ED' for European Design. The name "CEEED" was simplified by replacing the last 'E' with an apostrophe, resulting in the name 'Cee'd. However, since 2018, the model's name has been changed to Ceed without an apostrophe. Key Points: 1. The Kia Ceed, previously known as Cee'd, is a compact car manufactured by Kia exclusively for the European market since 2006. 2. The Ceed was the first Kia model designed entirely in Europe with a focus on European tastes and preferences. 3. The name 'Cee'd' was derived from the initials of the European Economic Community (EEC) combined with 'ED' for European Design. 4. The name was later simplified by replacing the last 'E' with an apostrophe to create 'Cee'd, but this was removed in 2018, resulting in the current name 'Ceed'.
