It is manufactured by Kia as the second model developed on the Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP) and is part of the brand's electric vehicle lineup alongside models like the EV5. The EV3 was initially showcased as a concept car at Kia EV Day in October 2023 and later displayed at the LA Auto Show in November of the same year.
