LDV

LDV Group Limited, originally established as Leyland DAF Vans, has a storied history in the automotive world. Founded through the merger of Leyland Trucks and DAF Trucks in 1993, LDV quickly became synonymous with robust commercial vehicles, primarily serving the UK market. The brand's lineage traces back to the iconic British Leyland, a name steeped in automotive lore. LDV's initial offerings were primarily utilitarian vans designed for reliability and functionality. Among their earliest successes was the LDV Convoy, a workhorse favored by businesses for its durability and adaptability. This vehicle exemplified LDV's commitment to serving the commercial sector, setting a foundation for the brand's reputation. In recent years, LDV has undergone significant transformations, notably being acquired by the Chinese automotive giant SAIC Motor in 2010. Rebranded as MAXUS in many markets outside the UK, LDV has expanded its range to include more environmentally friendly electric vehicles, such as the eDeliver 3 and eDeliver 9, marking a successful pivot in a rapidly evolving automotive landscape. Today, LDV continues to make strides in the electric vehicle market, demonstrating resilience and adaptability amidst the challenges of modern automotive demands.
