The Lincoln Mark VIII was a luxury sport coupe produced by Lincoln from 1993 to 1998, serving as a grand touring vehicle. It was the first generation of the Mark series to be entirely branded as a Lincoln, and it was designed to compete with luxury coupes from other automakers worldwide while also maintaining its rivalry with the Cadillac Eldorado. The Mark VIII replaced the Fox platform of the Mark VII and utilized the exclusive FN10 chassis, which was a derivative of the MN12 platform shared with the Ford Thunderbird and Mercury Cougar. This model saw an increase in size, primarily in wheelbase, and featured independent suspension for all four wheels, making it one of the few rear-wheel drive American cars at the time to offer this feature.
