Lola

Lola Cars, an esteemed name in motorsport, was founded in 1958 by Eric Broadley. Known for pioneering designs, Lola quickly became synonymous with racing success, shaping the landscape of motorsport with vehicles like the Lola Mk1, and later the T70, which dominated various racing series. Broadley's innovative approach led to the development of the Ford V8 powered Lola Mk.6, a precursor to the iconic Ford GT40, blending his engineering prowess with significant automotive projects. Despite its historical achievements, Lola faced financial challenges, leading to its closure in 2012. The brand remained dormant until 2022 when businessman Till Bechtolsheimer acquired the company. Bechtolsheimer, driven by a mix of nostalgia and a strategic vision for motorsport's evolving landscape, aims to revitalize Lola, leveraging its storied name and engineering heritage. His goal is to reposition Lola at the forefront of contemporary motorsport, steering clear of the fraught terrain of Formula 1, which had previously challenged the brand. Today, Lola is poised for a comeback, focusing on innovation and the development of customer race cars. Bechtolsheimer's leadership marks a new era for Lola, promising to blend its rich history with modern technological advancements in racing
