Lynk & Co

Founded in 2016, Lynk & Co emerged as a collaborative endeavor between China's Geely Automobile Holdings and Sweden's Volvo Cars. With its headquarters in Gothenburg, Sweden, the brand quickly established itself with a focus on connectivity, targeting young, tech-savvy consumers with its lineup of innovative crossover vehicles. Lynk & Co differentiated itself by offering internet-enabled cars and pioneering new sales models like subscriptions, aimed at simplifying ownership and appealing to a new generation of drivers. The brand debuted with the Lynk & Co 01 at the Shanghai Auto Show in 2017, a compact SUV that showcased the blend of Chinese manufacturing prowess and Swedish engineering, leveraging the Compact Modular Architecture platform developed jointly with Volvo. This model set the stage for a series of vehicles designed to integrate seamlessly into the digital lifestyles of its owners. Expanding rapidly, Lynk & Co established a significant presence in China and explored new markets globally, including plans to enter the US and Middle East. Recent efforts have focused on expanding into electric vehicles, a move aligning with global trends towards sustainable transportation. Despite ambitious expansion plans, the brand's progress in the US has been slow, although it remains a significant player in Europe and Asia. Today, Lynk & Co continues to innovate, reflected in its growing vehicle lineup and increasing sales figures, demonstrating both the brand's appeal and its challenges in a competitive automotive landscape.
