Maserati Kyalami

1976 – 1985 · Italy

The Maserati Kyalami (Tipo AM129) is a luxurious four-seat GT coupé manufactured by Maserati between 1976 and 1983. The car draws its name from the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit in South Africa, commemorating a Maserati-powered Cooper T81's victory at the 1967 South African Grand Prix. This elegant car is a notchback, two-door grand tourer and marked Maserati's first new model developed during Alejandro de Tomaso's leadership. The Kyalami shares a resemblance with the Longchamp but features unique body panels, distinguishing it as a separate model. De Tomaso took ownership of Maserati in 1975 when the brand was facing significant financial challenges
