The Maybach Zeppelin was a large luxury automobile produced by the German manufacturer Maybach-Motorenbau GmbH from 1928 to 1940. Built on an extended chassis and aimed at heads of state, industrialists, and the wealthy elite of the interwar period, it represented the pinnacle of German coachbuilt luxury during its era. The car was powered by a V12 engine and was notable for its considerable length, substantial weight, and the practice of having bodies constructed by specialist coachbuilders rather than the factory, meaning no two examples were identical. The DS8 variant, introduced in the 1930s, displaced around 8 litres and is among the most recognized configurations of the Zeppelin line.
