It was highly regarded for its comfortable ride, solid build quality, and efficient engines, making it a competitive choice in the mid-size segment. In 2002, the Capella was succeeded by the Mazda6, also known as the Atenza in some markets. The Mazda6 retained many of the Capella's key attributes while introducing modern updates and enhancements to keep up with changing consumer preferences and technological advancements. Overall, the Mazda Capella/626 was a significant offering in the mid-size car segment, with a successful production run spanning over three decades. It played a crucial role in Mazda's lineup and contributed to the brand's reputation for producing reliable, stylish, and well-performing vehicles.
