The Mazda Millenia was a luxury automobile manufactured by Mazda in Japan from 1993 to 2002. Originally intended to be part of Mazda's luxury brand Amati, the Millenia was launched in the autumn of 1993 in Europe as the Mazda Xedos 9, and in Japan and Australia as the Eunos 800 due to financial constraints faced by the company during the "bubble economy" period. In 1995, the Millenia debuted in North America under its original name. In July 1997, the Japanese market Eunos 800 was rebranded as the Mazda Millenia as Mazda phased out the Eunos brand.
