Mazda Tribute EP

2000 – 2007

The Mazda MX-5 (NC) is the third generation of the Mazda MX-5 sports car produced from 2005 to 2015. The NC model received notable recognition, winning the Car of the Year Japan Award upon its release in 2005 and consistently appearing on Car and Driver's prestigious 10Best list from 2006 to 2013. One of the key features of the NC model was the introduction of a retractable hardtop variant, distinguishing it as the first MX-5th Gen to offer this option. The retractable hardtop could fold or deploy in just 12 seconds without compromising trunk space, providing added versatility to the driving experience. During the initial production years of 2006 to 2008 (NC1), the NC model showcased unique exterior styling by Yasushi Nakamuta, which incorporated no components shared with the previous NB model except for the fender-mounted turn signal lights on non-U.S. versions and rear differential internals. Notably, the chief designer overseeing the creation of this model generation was Moray Callum.
