Meadows Frisky

From its inception in the 1950s, Meadows Frisky stands as a testament to British automotive ingenuity and charm. Founded by the visionary engineer Raymond Flower, the brand carved its niche with the introduction of the Meadows Frisky, a microcar that captured the post-war zeitgeist of an era hungry for mobility yet conscious of urban space and economy. Born in Wolverhampton, the Frisky was a product of the Meadows company, initially renowned for its precision engineering in the production of engines. The original Meadows Frisky, launched at the 1957 Geneva Motor Show, was celebrated for its compact design and efficient two-stroke engine, emblematic of Flower’s commitment to innovative automotive solutions. The vehicle's distinctive features included a fiberglass body and a layout that maximized the interior space despite its diminutive footprint. Today, while Meadows Frisky may no longer dominate the headlines, its legacy endures through a dedicated community of enthusiasts and collectors. These aficionados celebrate the brand’s historical significance and its contribution to the microcar movement. The marque’s journey from a symbol of post-war revival to a cherished classic underscores its lasting impact on the automotive landscape.
