The Mercedes-Benz W114 and W115 were a series of front-engine, rear-drive sedans and coupés introduced in 1968 as successors to the W110 models. Designed with three-box styling by Paul Bracq, these cars were manufactured until 1976 when the W123 was launched. The W114 models were equipped with six-cylinder engines and were sold as the 230, 250, and 280, while the W115 models had four-cylinder engines and were branded as the 200, 220, 230, and 240, with diesel variants identified by a D in the name. In the market, these cars were differentiated by the nameplates reflecting their engine sizes.
