MG is a British automotive manufacturer, initially founded by Cecil Kimber in the 1920s. The M.G. Car Company Limited, known for producing British sports cars, operated from 1930 to 1972 and propelled the MG brand to fame. The brand's origins can be traced back to a sales promotion venture of Morris Garages in Oxford during the 1920s, managed by Cecil Kimber. He customized standard Morris Oxfords, enhancing them with the distinctive MG Super Sports branding on the car's front plate. In July 1930, a separate entity named M.G. Car Company Limited was officially established. The company produced a range of stylish and sporty cars that garnered a loyal following over the years. With a focus on performance and design, MG cars became synonymous with British motoring excellence. In 2007, MG came under the ownership of Chinese state-owned automaker SAIC Motor, marking a new chapter in the brand's history. Despite the change in ownership, MG vehicles continue to be manufactured and sold, blending British heritage with modern technologies and design elements.
