The Austin Maestro was a popular five-door hatchback small family car manufactured by British Leyland starting in 1982. It was designed to replace the Austin Maxi and Austin Allegro models and included a two-door van derivative as part of its lineup. Production continued under the Rover Group from 1986 to 1994, with a total of 605,000 units sold. The vehicle was manufactured at the former Morris plant in Oxford, also known as Cowley, which now produces the BMW Mini. Notably, an MG-branded performance version known as the MG Maestro was available from 1983 to 1991, offering enhanced power and sporty styling. While some later iterations of the model were informally called the Rover
