Mitsubishi L200 K50

1996 – 2006 · Japan

The Mitsubishi Triton, also known as the Mitsubishi L200 in most markets, is a mid-size pickup truck manufactured by Mitsubishi Motors. Originally called the Mitsubishi Forte in Japan and later renamed as the Strada in 1991, the vehicle has had various other names in different regions, including Rodeo, Colt, Storm, Magnum, and Strakar, among others. In the United States, it was rebadged by Chrysler Corporation as the Dodge D50, Dodge Ram 50, and Plymouth Arrow truck, while Mitsubishi sold it as the Mitsubishi Mighty Max until 2002. The Mitsubishi Triton/L200 has seen intermittent sales in Japan and small numbers due to the variants introduced under different names. Its popularity grew globally with the L200 branding and has become a staple in many export markets where it is known for its reliable performance and versatile utility as a pickup truck. In 2015, Fiat Professional entered a partnership with Mitsubishi Motors and launched a rebadged version of the L200 known as the Fiat Fullback. This move extended the reach of the Triton/L200 platform and further solidified its position in the mid-size pickup market segment. Overall, the Mitsubishi Triton/L200 has a rich history of different names and variants across regions, showcasing its adaptability and market presence worldwide. Its reputation for durability, functionality, and off-road capability has made it a popular choice for consumers looking for a reliable and robust pickup truck option.
