Moon

Moon Motor Car Company, founded in 1905 in St. Louis, Missouri, embarked on its journey under the visionary leadership of Joseph W. Moon. This American automobile company quickly made its mark with the production of high-quality, mid-priced cars. The first car to roll off their line, the Moon 6-40, exemplified their commitment to both style and performance, featuring a distinctive touring body that appealed to the discerning consumer of the era. Over the decades, Moon's commitment to innovation and quality never wavered, though the brand navigated through the ups and downs typical of the auto industry. The cars from Moon were particularly noted for their sturdy construction and elegant designs, earning them a reputation for reliability and luxury. However, despite their engineering prowess and strong brand identity, Moon Motor Car could not withstand the economic pressures and evolving competition of the early 20th century. The company ceased production in 1930, leaving behind a legacy of automotive excellence that remains appreciated by collectors and historians.
