Namco

Founded in the early 1970s by Petros Kontogouris, Namco has carved its niche in the automotive industry with a legacy of innovation and resilience. The brand began its journey in the post-war era, introducing its first vehicle, the "Pony," in 1974. This model, not only Greece’s first passenger car but also a symbol of the nation's industrial ambition, was a compact and economical solution to the mobility needs of the Greek populace during a time of economic recovery. Namco’s dedication to serving the practical needs of its customers while embracing simplicity in design has remained a cornerstone of its philosophy. Over the decades, the company has weathered various economic challenges, reflecting the dynamic and often turbulent automotive market. Today, Namco is experiencing a resurgence, focusing on electric mobility and sustainable transportation solutions. Their recent ventures into electric vehicles underscore a commitment to innovation and environmental stewardship. Despite facing intense competition, Namco continues to adapt, striving to blend their rich history with modern technological advancements, aiming for a greener, more sustainable future in transportation. Their journey from the humble beginnings of the Pony to today's focus on electrification showcases a brand consistently ahead of its time, yet always in tune with the needs of its era.
