Founded in 1916 by former General Motors president Charles Nash, Nash Motors carved its niche in automotive history with innovations and distinctive designs that left an enduring mark. Initially established in Kenosha, Wisconsin, Nash’s visionary approach quickly manifested in the company's first car, the Nash 671, noted for its robust performance and engineering quality. Throughout its early years, Nash was recognized for its engineering innovations, which included the introduction of bed-in-a-car functionality and advanced heating systems. The brand was also a pioneer in unibody construction, enhancing vehicle rigidity and durability—a testament to its commitment to quality and consumer needs. After merging with Hudson Motor Car Company in 1954 to form American Motors Corporation (AMC), the Nash brand gradually faded from the market.
