Nevs

Founded in 2012 after acquiring the main assets of the former automaker Saab Automobile, National Electric Vehicle Sweden (Nevs) embarked on a visionary journey to reframe the auto industry through electric mobility. With roots deeply embedded in the innovative ethos of Saab, Nevs set out to merge Swedish engineering prowess with sustainable automotive solutions. The company's inception was marked by ambitious promises to maintain the legacy of Saab while pivoting towards electric vehicles (EVs), a significant shift dictated by global trends and environmental concerns. The original Nevs model, the Saab 9-3, was re-engineered into an electric variant, signifying Nevs' commitment to transforming traditional automotive frameworks into future-ready solutions. This initiative reflected not just a continuation of the Saab lineage but also a bold stride into new technological territories. Today, Nevs stands as a testament to resilience and innovation, despite facing several financial hurdles and ownership changes. Currently owned by Evergrande Group, Nevs continues to make strides in electric vehicle technology with a focus on creating smart, sustainable mobility solutions. The journey from traditional automaking to a leader in the electric revolution showcases Nevs' enduring commitment to innovation and environmental stewardship. Their ongoing projects and collaborations signify a promising horizon, albeit the challenges they've navigated through their transformative journey.
