In Japan, the Cedric/Gloria series, affectionately known as CedGlo, was a long-standing lineup that concluded its production in October 2004. It was succeeded by the Nissan Fuga. Despite this, the Cedric name continues to be utilized on the Y31 series fleet vehicle that is popularly used as a taxi. The Y31 series competes with the Toyota Comfort and remains in production.
