The Nissan Pulsar EXA and Nissan EXA were small, sporty automobiles produced by Nissan Motor Company between 1983 and 1990. The first generation, known as the N12 series, was sold in Japan as the Pulsar EXA at Nissan Cherry Store locations. It was part of Nissan's strategy to offer an affordable yet youth-oriented two-door coupe style, taking inspiration from the successful Nissan Sunny fastback coupe. This generation was followed by the N13 series, marketed as the Nissan EXA in Japan and North America under the name Nissan Pulsar NX.
