Nissan Quest RE52

2010 – 2020

The Nissan Quest, a minivan produced by Nissan from 1993 to 2017 across four generations, stands out for its evolution and shared manufacturing history with Ford. The early generations, known as V40 and V41, were developed in partnership with Ford, resulting in short-wheelbase models. These models were closely related to the Mercury Villager due to badge engineering. In 2004, with the introduction of the V42nd Gen, Nissan severed ties with Ford, taking full control of the manufacturing process. This marked a shift toward independent production for the Quest. The fourth generation, identified as RE52 beginning in 2011, showcased a significant change as the model became a widened version of the Nissan Elgrand minivan, distinguishing itself from previous iterations. This latest version was manufactured in Japan and featured a unique design compared to its predecessors. Throughout its generational changes, the Quest maintained a loose connection with the Nissan Maxima in terms of chassis and powertrain, highlighting Nissan's strategic platform sharing within its lineup.
