The Nissan Violet, introduced in Japan in 1973, served as a larger counterpart to the Nissan Cherry and was exclusively available at Japanese Nissan dealerships known as Nissan Cherry Store. In 1977, the second generation was launched, comprising of three distinct models under the A10 series identifier. These models were the Nissan Violet, the Nissan Auster, and the Nissan Stanza, all manufactured at the Hiratsuka and Yokosuka assembly plants in Japan. The Nissan Stanza, one of the trio, was specifically offered at Japanese Nissan Satio Store outlets and functioned as a larger sibling to the Nissan Sunny. Meanwhile, the Nissan Auster series, consisting of the Auster, Violet, and the multifaceted Nissan Stanza
