The Oldsmobile Intrigue, a mid-size sedan produced by Oldsmobile from 1997 to 2002, showcased design elements initially featured in the 1995 Oldsmobile Antares concept car before its official debut at the North American International Auto Show in January 1996. As part of Oldsmobile's transition phase, the Intrigue marked the beginning of the brand's gradual phase-out process, with the remaining models being phased out over the following few years. The Oldsmobile Intrigue was launched on May 5, 1997, as a replacement for the aging Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme. It was built on the second generation of the W-body platform, which it shared with the Buick Regal.
